HIKING IN THE UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE
The small city of Brixen is located in the valley basin of the Eisacktal between majestic mountains and green fields, in a great position to reach all South Tyrolean Dolomite valleys. Gröden, the Pustertal Valley, as well as the Villnösstal Valley can all be reached with a short drive and represent a true paradise for hiking enthusiasts. The Pustertal Valley attracts with the world-famous motive of the Three Peaks, which can be surrounded during an easy hike. The Villnösstal is a great starting point for many different hikes in the Puez-Geisler nature park with the characteristic Geisler. Here, many possibilities for easy hikes from one mountain hut to the other and a stunning view awaits you. For a little thrill, it’s a great idea to climb the Sass Rigais on the via ferrata with its unique view of the Dolomites. Also, a trip to the Grödental is worth it. Here are many world-famous peaks – for example, the Seceda, traditional huts invite you to stop and enjoy a local meal, and on the way, you can visit a traditional woodcarver in the valley.
