Brixen is considered to be the oldest city of South Tyrol – a fact that makes the city’s cultural sights very special. In the old town, the magnificent buildings remind us of the episcopal city’s glorious past. The seminary library in the old town of Brixen dating back to the late Baroque is particularly worth seeing because of its ceiling frescos, as well as the Neustift Abbey with medieval and modern art and buildings. In the city gallery under the arcades of Brixen, through modern art, political, social, and economical topics of the modern society are addressed. Who walks through the city with open eyes, will have a lot to admire!

The small, idyllic city of Brixen is filled with possibilities and offers many events all year round: long shopping evenings in summer with live music and local delicacies, the famous Water Light Festival in May, the Christmas market in winter, and many other events make your nature holiday even sweeter.
In South Tyrol, different cultures and ways of living clash, and that is noticeable in the cuisine as well. The South Tyrolean cuisine unites the best of both worlds: savory specialties meet light, Mediterranean dishes. In Brixen – like in the whole province – there is a big choice of great restaurants. The restaurant Finsterwirt in the city center attracts with regional, creative dishes in the historic dining rooms, while at Vitis, the in-house wine bar, you can enjoy a good glass of South Tyrolean wine. Gourmets will appreciate the sophisticated cuisine at Hotel Elephant, pizza lovers can pay Trametsch a visit. But this is only a small choice of the restaurants in Brixen, which can be reached easily by foot from the Milla Apartments.
And those who like to cook themselves occasionally can do that in the perfectly equipped kitchen in your holiday home. Regional, fresh products can be bought at the farmer’s market, at “pur Südtirol”, or in one of the grocery stores near the apartment house.
