Urban city experiences in the Alps
EVENTS, CULTURE, AND SHOPPING
Brixen is considered to be the oldest city of South Tyrol – a fact that makes the city’s cultural sights very special. In the old town, the magnificent buildings remind us of the episcopal city’s glorious past. The seminary library in the old town of Brixen dating back to the late Baroque is particularly worth seeing because of its ceiling frescos, as well as the Neustift Abbey with medieval and modern art and buildings. In the city gallery under the arcades of Brixen, through modern art, political, social, and economical topics of the modern society are addressed. Who walks through the city with open eyes, will have a lot to admire!
And don’t forget: With the Brixen Card, entry into almost all museums in South Tyrol is free of charge!
